NTDC, TRANSCORP HILTON, ABUJA, OTHERS NOMINATED FOR WORLD TRAVEL AWARDS 2015.

Three Nigerian hotels and the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) have been nominated for the 22nd edition of the prestigious World Travel Awards - Africa group. NTDC is competing with nine other national tourism management boards as AFRICA'S LEADING TOURIST BOARD - 2015. Other nominees in this category includes
  • Egyptian State Tourist Office
  • Gambia Tourism Board
  • Ghana Tourism Authority
  • Kenya Tourism Board
  • Moroccan National Tourist office
  • Namibia Tourism Board
  • South Africa Tourism
  • Tanzania Tourist Board
  • Zanzibar Commission for Tourism.

The Wheatbaker, Lagos and Transcorp Hilton, Abuja are nominated as AFRICA'S LEADING BUSINESS HOTEL in the the Hotels and Resorts category while new comer, The Georges, Lagos is in contention for the AFRICA'S LEADING NEW HOTEL award. Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, is further nominated as AFRICA'S LEADING CITY HOTELwhich increases the chances of  a Nigerian hotel picking an award as one of the elite hotels in Africa. 
Altogether, there are more than sixty awards categories covering the various segments of the Travel and Tourism industry. Plaques shall be presented to the winners at an African & Indian Ocean Gala of the WORLD TRAVEL AWARDS scheduled to hold at the ultra- luxurious Kempinski Seychelles Resort, Baie Lazare, in the paradise island of The Seychelles on Saturday 20th June, 2015.
