The Jordanian government has approved several measures to uplift the tourism sector, designed to make travelling to Jordan more convenient for people of all nationalities.
Most significantly visa fees are to be waived for tourists of all nationalities with immediate effect.
The move applies to visitors coming through Jordanian tour operators, whether travelling individually or in groups.

The visa fee will be waived on a condition that the traveller spends a minimum of two consecutive nights in Jordan
The long-standing departure tax and entry visa for all low-cost and charter flights departing from King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba will also be removed.

Finally, there will be a reduction in electricity tariffs for the hotel sector.
The moves come following a meeting between tourism minister Nayef Hmeidli Al- Fayez with King Abdullah II.
