The historic Temple Of Artemis - Jordan
The Jordanian government has
approved several measures to uplift the tourism sector, designed to make
travelling to Jordan more convenient for people of all nationalities.
Most significantly visa fees are
to be waived for tourists of all nationalities with immediate effect.
The move applies to visitors
coming through Jordanian tour operators, whether travelling individually or in
groups.
The visa fee will be waived on a
condition that the traveller spends a minimum of two consecutive nights in
Jordan
The long-standing departure tax
and entry visa for all low-cost and charter flights departing from King Hussein
International Airport in Aqaba will also be removed.
Finally, there will be a reduction in electricity tariffs for the hotel sector.
The moves come following a
meeting between tourism minister Nayef Hmeidli Al- Fayez with King Abdullah II.
